Welcome to #MyJewishStory
#MyJewishStory is a new and innovative social media project for Jewish youth around the world, sharing a window into their lives as they come together in adding a chapter to the collective Jewish Story...
#MyJewishStory is a joint effort between World Bnei Akiva, the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot, Mosaic United and Bnei Akiva Israel. Each entry will automatically be competing for a spot to be displayed in an actual exhibition at the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot in Tel Aviv.
Please join us in creating your Instagram story - #MyJewishStory.
How it works
Create an Instagram story telling a specific aspect of Jewish life and share it with us. Your story should be no longer than 4 minutes and can consist of different parts or one single video. The story should focus on one specific topic which you can either choose from the list below or suggest in the registration form. Please see the technical guidelines below.
The first phase of the contest consists of creating the stories. You can register using this form. Tell us who you are, where you’re from, who’s participating in the creation of the story and what your story is about and upload your story.
The deadline for the submission of the stories is Thursday, September 24th. On Sunday, August 16th your stories will start to upload to our Instagram account @My_JewishStory. A panel of judges, including representatives from all the organizations, will choose 8 of the submitted stories which will proceed to the final event.
On Sunday, October 25th, an online event will be held which will broadcast the best stories and open them for voting. The 3 stories with most votes will be included into the Jewish Lens exhibition at the Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot in Tel Aviv.
